Temperature Versus Latitude

Analysis

We see from the graph that it really does get warmer the closer you get to the equator. The peak temperatures appear to occur slightly north of the equator rather than at the equator itself. This can be explained by the seasons and the tilt of the earth's axis at the time of receiving this data.

The data collected was of the current temperature at each of these locations. The local time of day as a result had an impact on the data collected as well. Between this and local weather conditions, we see a great deal of variance in the data. If I were to redo the experiment I would like to change this to instead grab the daily maximum temperatures rather than current temperature.
