Humidity Versus Latitude

Analysis

Humidity appears to be correlated to distance to the equator as well. Data collected from cities within the tropical zone are consistently more humid with no recorded observations being below saturation percentage of 40. At the same time, the least humid observations occurred right at the edge of the tropical zone near the Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn respectively.

That all being said, most latitudes saw a wide range and high variance of possible humidity levels. It is likely that a much larger factor in humidity levels are proximity to water and current weather patterns such as rainclouds.

An interesting note about humidity is that in some earlier attempts at gathering data I would find a datapoint with around 400% humidity saturation. I had initially thought this was an error and incorrect data may be being recorded at the weather station in question. This however is a regularly occurring natural phenomenon known as supersaturation and you can read more about it here.
